Thoughts that your Yips is incurable are understandable. I once thought exactly the same.
Yips is no fun at all. I know exactly how frustrating, painful and discouraging this problem can be because I experienced it myself.
At one point, my Yips became so severe that I almost accepted I would have to live with it forever. I know what it feels like when a shot that should be simple suddenly becomes something you fear.
Instead of giving up, I started researching, observing and questioning what was really happening. After a great deal of work and thinking, I finally discovered what was causing the problem and how to fix it.
That experience eventually became one of my most valuable areas of coaching expertise.
Before you call it a mental problem, have you looked at the movement?
Yips is often considered a mental problem. My experience has led me to a different conclusion: Yips is not a mental problem. It’s a technical problem.
A technical issue can trigger tension, uncertainty and a loss of confidence. But correcting the movement is where I start.
Every golfer is different, so I identify the specific technical fault behind their Yips.
As I explain in my video:
“I don’t cure Yips. I fix it — because it’s a technical problem.”

So far, I have successfully helped every golfer I have personally coached for Yips. In my experience, I have achieved around 80% improvement within just a few hours of focused work. In some cases, I have resolved Yips in as little as 30 minutes. I then spend a few more days monitoring the changes and helping the player build confidence and consistency in the corrected movement.
