“I have a career spanning more than twenty- five years. I studied Sports Turf Management in the Institute of Technology Tralee Ireland and in Plumpton College, United Kingdom, Sports Turf Nutrition in Memphis, Texas USA, Salt Affected Turfgrass Sites in Atlanta, Georgia, USA. I have been very fortunate to have worked with many of the World’s finest Golf Course Architects and industry professionals. This has allowed me to develop and demonstrate my skills in both the public and private sectors at some of the World’s great golf courses and turf grass facilities in Ireland, UK, Europe, and the United States. These golf courses included a very wide range of soil types, in-geographically and climatically challenging conditions. Many of the courses I have managed are at extremely environmentally sensitive site locations and have hosted European PGA Tour events. One such course being the Old Head Golf Links, where I spent eight years at one of the most environmentally sensitive and protected sites in Europe, where both flora and fauna flourished and thrived under my management and this legacy continues today, at this site.”
